Your IP for this connection
216.73.217.100
IPv4This is the address seen by this website. With a VPN or proxy, it is usually the exit address.
- Reverse hostname (PTR)
- Reverse (PTR) lookup failed (upstream error, not a missing record)
- DNS fetched at
- 2026-10-17T11:26:10.317Z
A missing PTR alone does not indicate a connection fault. Only the IP version used for this request is shown.
Connection and network
These values describe the connection to our delivery edge. An ASN identifies a network, not a person or street address. Round-trip values estimate this connection; they are not an ICMP ping or speed test.
- Network number (ASN)
- AS16509
- Network organization
- Anthropic, PBC
- HTTP protocol
- HTTP/2
- TLS version
- TLSv1.3
- TLS cipher suite
- AEAD-AES256-GCM-SHA384
- Estimated TCP round trip
- 3 ms
- Estimated QUIC round trip
- 0 ms

Data sources and specifications
IP and connection metadata come from Cloudflare; reverse DNS comes from a public DNS query. Browser information uses APIs available on this device.

What this check does
Check the public IP reaching this website, reverse DNS (PTR), network number (ASN) and connection encryption. Our delivery infrastructure observes connection information. Device information is browser-reported and may be omitted or rounded for privacy. These values do not identify a person or street address.
How to read the result
To compare Wi-Fi, mobile data or a VPN, switch connections and refresh. When contacting support, include the time, network used, symptoms and relevant results. IP and PTR alone cannot establish safety. Avoid publishing the full report; share only the fields the recipient needs.
Glossary
- Public and private IPs
- A public IP is used on the internet. Private addresses such as 192.168.x.x identify devices inside a local network. NAT and carrier sharing can place several devices or customers behind one public IP.
- IPv4 and IPv6
- IPv4 uses dots; IPv6 uses colons. This page shows the version used for this connection. Seeing only one version does not prove the other is unavailable.
- PTR (reverse DNS)
- A DNS record mapping an IP to a hostname, configured by the IP operator. A missing PTR does not necessarily prevent web browsing, and the name does not establish the visitor's identity.
- ASN
- A number identifying an internet network. A VPN or transit provider's organization may appear. It is separate from the subscriber's name, current location or street address.
- TLS and round-trip time
- TLS encrypts this connection. Round-trip time estimates latency to our delivery edge; it does not measure download speed or performance to other websites.
FAQ
- Why does my computer show a different IP?
- Device settings may show a private LAN address. This page shows the public address reaching the website. NAT, VPNs, proxies and mobile carrier sharing can make them different.
- Where can I find my private IP?
- On Windows, run ipconfig in Command Prompt; on Linux, run ip addr and inspect the active interface. On macOS, open network details in System Settings. On iPhone, iPad and Android, inspect the connected Wi-Fi details. Names vary by OS version. Distinguish that address from the public IP shown here.
- Can this verify my VPN?
- Compare the IP and ASN before and after connecting. A change can indicate a different exit, but does not prove VPN security or that every app uses the VPN.
- Does my IP stay the same?
- It depends on the connection and subscription. Reconnecting or switching networks or VPNs may change it. Opening this page over another network shows that network's address, even if your usual connection has a fixed IP.
- Can an IP or hostname identify a person or address?
- These results alone cannot identify a person or street address. Organization and reverse DNS names describe network administration. Geolocation is not displayed on this page.
- Is unavailable browser information an error?
- Not necessarily. Browser support, disabled JavaScript and privacy features can withhold fields. Connection type, memory and speed may be approximate or rounded even when supported.
- Can I inspect another IP or device?
- This page checks the browser currently opening it. It does not accept arbitrary IP queries or obtain another person's device information.
